The story behind Philio

Hello! I’m Philio, the creator behind Philio.

My love for handmade creation began during my childhood. I remember making thread bracelets and clay brooches, as well as knitting and embroidering alongside my grandmother. Creating something with my own hands has always been an important part of my life.

I studied at a technical university and worked for several years in private companies. At the same time, I continued learning and developing my skills by attending courses in knitting, sandal making, sewing and other creative techniques.

In 2020, during a difficult period for my mental health, therapy helped me realise how essential creativity is to my balance and well-being. This is how Philio was born—not simply as a business idea, but as a way to make meaningful space in my life for what I love most.

Handmade creations with a distinctive identity

At Philio, you will discover handmade sandals, bridal shoes, jewellery, knitted accessories, seasonal creations and thoughtful gifts for life’s small and important moments.

Every design is carefully selected, combined and finished with personal attention to detail. I am not interested in creating mass-produced or impersonal products. I want every piece to have its own character and to reach the person who chooses it as something genuinely special.

When a product requires specialised manufacturing, such as footwear, sandal bases or candles, I collaborate with Greek workshops and craftspeople. I then personally decorate and finish each design. Materials are carefully selected from suppliers in Greece, with quality, aesthetics and durability as the main priorities.

For those who don’t love the ordinary

Philio was created for people looking for something different: a distinctive pair of shoes, a meaningful gift or a handmade creation that does not feel mass-produced or impersonal.
